beautiful bed
I liked the picture online but it looks even better in real life. This is a very quality quilt. I was going for a matlasse look with some sage in it. Most cheaper bedding is made of synthetic fabrics. This one has more cotton in it and is a heavier weight. The overall size is generous to allow for a nice drape on three sides. The pillow shams are also well made with tie backs. I am not a real fan of the bedskirt as it has a different look and is a bit thin showing the outline of the bed frame. I would probably replace that later on to match more contrasting shams. Overall I am very pleased with my purchase and would recommend this to anyone. The company also sent it out in a very prompt time frame even during the busy Christmas holidays.

Not what I expected
I was really excited to order this quilt once I read the good reviews. However, I was very disappointed when the product came. The first thing I noticed was the texture was not very nice. I hoped washing would take care of that, so I put it in the washing machine. When I put it on our queen bed, it was too small, with the bottom of the mattress (it is an extra thick mattress) showing. The next thing I noticed was a seam going down the length of the quilt. It is VERY noticeable -- the first thing my husband said when he saw it on our bed was, "What is that down the side?" The seam was poorly done and the pattern on either side does not match. They didn't even turn both ends of the fabric under like a traditional seam, but rather just sewed one end on top of the other, so there is overhang. My husband said that it feels like a hotel coverlet. I wish I hadn't washed this before doing a thorough inspection because I would return it. Awesome but not totally awesome
I hate buying clothes or bedding sight unseen so I was nervous to buy this comforter set but it was priced well and Amazon has such an amazing return policy, thus I threw caution to the wind and bought away. I love this coverlet. Its very pretty and the bedskirt is lovely. The only thing I want to warn of is it is not bright red as pictured. It is a muted red and the red is mottled, so it has varying shades of reds in it. The white toile pattern is also a print, not in anyway is it embroidered. I did not expect that but just as fair warning to others. After washing it a few times the ends did unravel a bit in one end. I closed it up myself but I would suggest having it professionally cleaned or else going on the gentle cycle (which I did not).
